Turing Festival 2016 Recap
Last week took me to Edinburgh for 2016’s Turing Festival — a 2 day tech conference encompassing the themes of Product & People and Full Stack Marketing.
In short, it was an incredible event, with absolutely fantastic speakers across both days — I caught every talk, and came away freshly inspired and having learnt a huge amount. Go sign up now to be notified for next year, and I’ll see you there!
🎥 Videos of the talks should be online soon(!), and I’m keeping a keen eye out for the following in particular:
Product day:
- Patrick Campbell, PriceIntelligently — How to Build Actual Customer-Driven Product
- Hilary Roberts, Skyscanner — Science and Sensibility: Thoughts on Experimentation and Growth
- Janna Bastow, ProdPad — The Power of Product Focus
Full-stack Marketing day:
- Hannah Smith, Verve Search — Right in the Feels (or, How to Create Content that Gets Shared)
- Samantha Noble, Koozai — Paid Media: It’s Not All About The Endgame
- Wil Reynolds, Seer Interactive — The Human Ranking Algorithm: The People Behind The Queries
- Oli Gardner, Unbounce— The Conversion Equation
- Lexi Mills, Manyminds— The PR Formula for Content Marketing
- Rand Fishkin, Moz — The Worst Advice Content Ever Gave To Marketing
I’ve also shared the slides from my own talk, Data-Driven Growth: Analytics & Attribution Tips & Techniques For Marketers in 2016 — I’m still all mushy inside from the response, thank you all for having me!
A huge thanks to Brian Corcoran, Marcus Kernohan, the entire Turing Festival team and volunteers who put on a brilliant event. Thanks also to Andy Robinson for originally putting me in touch with the team. See you all next year!
